ARMY AIR FORCES PILOT'S TYPE A-11 LEATHER FLYING HELMET. An original 1940s issue USAAF Type A-11 Intermediate leather flying helmet/cap. It is in good overall condition. Wings & star insignia on the front left side and top center with "Army Air Forces".

The chin strap assembly is complete and functional. It reads: Type A-11, Specification No. Mondl Manufacturing Company, Property of US AAF. In overall great condition: some ink marks to ear lining (refer to photos).
