WW2 US Army Air Force ANS31 Summer Flying Suit Size Medium WASP Nurse. Made in olive drab wool gabardine material this suit replaced the A4 style suit in 1944. Although labelled Size Medium they are quite small and might be ideal for a WASP or flight nurse impression, they fit my size 12 wife perfectly and were worn for this purpose. Last picture is of USO performers. Francis Langford and Patty Thomas. Both wearing this style of suit back stage after a show in the South Pacific in 1944. In very good condition, original two way Talon zip in perfect working order and the wool material is clean with no stains and strong throughout, there are a couple of small areas of moth tracking which have been reinforced by two iron-on patches. Underarm to underarm across the chest laid flat 20 inches. Shoulder to shoulder across the back 18 inches. Across the waist 18 inches.
