WW2 US Army Air Force AN-4 AIRBORNE CHEST PARACHUTE VERY NICE

  
This was the main chute, as part of the comeplete T5 Harness system. Not sure of the exact history of this item, as it came to me from a large collectors estate. Dated January 1945, this Parachute & Bag is in VERY GOOD condition, showing normal age and wear from storage. Slight tears and wear to the bag, but nothing that detracts. The silk parachute is included... But it appears to have been cut from the bag itself.

The interesting feature is that though it was made during the war, it canopy features a "Made in France" stamp? Features the rip cord and handle, as well as all the original cloth labelling and ink stamps. It also comes complete with the original inspection card, that is dated 1945. It needs to be re-packed and someone took it apart at one time. A PERFECT addition to any collection or display!
