In the Weather Bureau, he served as acting chief of the Agricultural Climatology Section in Washington, D. Dale left the Weather Bureau in 1967 to become associate professor at Purdue University where he taught agricultural meteorology and statistical climatology. His activities included six months with the Romanian Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology in 1974, three months in Brazil with the University of Sao Paulo in 1977, five months at the University of Missouri in 1984, and four months in Indonesia in 1990. Bob authored more than 50 refereed journal papers and more than 100 publications during his career. This group includes a beautiful Ike jacket that has his name in the collar and an 8th USAAF patch, the 4 pocket jacket has a British made 8th USAAF patch and is un-named, his 2 next of kin dog tags still on their original chain, an awesome hand embroidered bullion AAF patch and some ribbons and insignia.
