WW2 Elgin Army Air Force A-11 WRISTWATCH, Running Great

PLEASE USE THE "ZOOM" OPTION AND VIEW EACH PICTURE IN DETAIL. PLEASE READ THE DESCRIPTION CAREFULLY. THIS IS A RUNNING WATCH AND IT IS KEEPING VERY GOOD TIME SINCE 4 NOVEMBER 2017, MAY BE RUNNING JUST A LITTLE FAST, 30 SECONDS TO 1 MINUTE EACH 24 HOURS.

TO THE BEST OF MY KNOWLEDGE THIS IS AN ORIGINAL AND RUNNING ELGIN A-11 ARMY AIR FORCE WRISTWATCH THAT WAS MANUFACTURED ON OR ABOUT 1944. (This watch has not been checked for accuracy, seems to be running about 30 seconds to 1 minute fast each 24 hour period).

THIS WATCH SHOWS ITS AGE AND IT IS IN WHAT I WOULD CALL ROUGH LOOKING CONDITION AS FAR AS THE APPEARANCE GOES. THE CRYSTAL SHOWS CIRCULAR CRACKING FROM ABOUT 12 O'CLOCK TO ABOUT 8 O'CLOCK. THE CASE SHOWS NICKS, DINGS & SCRATCHES. THE BACK IS STILL QUITE NICE WITH GOOD UNWORN STAMPINGS.

THE TAN CANVAS BAND SHOWS HEAVY RUST STAINING AND AGE, STILL FUNCTIONS AS A BAND THOUGH. THE BACK SCREWED OFF THIS WATCH VERY EASILY. THE INTERIOR WORKS LOOK VERY CLEAN AND IT IS MARKED "16 JEWELS".

THERE IS ONE SCREW MISSING THAT KEEPS THE MOVEMENT SECURE IN THE CASE, SEE PICTURE #10. ONE LUG AT THE 7 O'CLOCK POSITION HAS PARTIALLY WORN AWAY OR CHIPPED OFF, THE PIN STILL STAYS IN PLACE, BUT WILL PROBABLY DISLODGE IF PRESSURE IS APPLIED TO THE BAND, SEE PICTURE #11.

UPDATE 8 NOV 17: This watch is still running STRONG!! Still seems to be running just a little fast, about 30 seconds each 24 hours.
