It has the 5th Air Force patch on one shoulder and the China Burma patch on the other shoulder. The jacket also has a Navigator Wings pin. This pin is marked Sterling on the back of it. The jacket is marked Regulation Army Officers Uniform on the inside liner.
The inner pocket tag is marked Coat Wool Elastique OD Dark Officers Size 39 Regular Code No 404 Dated March 2 1944 along with other numbers. The jacket shows heavy wear and has numerous small holes in the fabric all around the jacket with a lot of them looking to be on the sleeves. There is also some staining in places.This jacket belonged to a gentleman named Page Edwin Preston who graduated from the Virginia Military Institute in 1943 and then was in the US Army afterwards.
