Vintage US Army / Air Force Sterling Silver Pilot Wings Pin. Pin comes with Original box Marked L. Pilot 3, Sterling, Clutch & S-8892. Pin not stamped Sterling but Acid tested Positive to being Sterling. One significant difference in these Wings and others are the Decorative cuts on the Wings t op part. On the upper part of the wing at the joint, the left wing has 4 decorative cuts and the right wing has only 3 cuts. I haven't seen too many with these characteristics. Not positive if these are from the WW2 or the 1950s era. They came from an estate of a man who was an F102 Jet Pilot from 1952 -1956.

I was not able to verify how long Balfour produced these wings, perhaps the new owner can have better luck. The wings are 3 long by.
