WW2 USAAF AN-H-15 summer flying helmet. Khaki cotton twill flying helmet with black rubber ear pieces. Nicely stamped with the Army Air Forces logo. The helmet has three leather loops on the rear to retain goggles. Two of these loops are secured with press studs.
There is a buckle and snap fastening chin strap with velour padding. Brass press stud fittings for an oxygen mask are also present.
The WW2 US AN-H-15 helmet was introduced as the standard summer light weight flying helmet for the Army Air Force and Navy on April 23, 1943.
