US WW2 Army Air Force Norden Bombsight Radar Sun Shield. Rare Piece

For sale here is an amazing US WW2 Army Air Corps Norden Bombsight Radar Sun Shield. I couldn't find reference to these anywhere, and there are no markings other than the previous owner's tag. The cover is made from thin somewhat hardened leather with a tightening bracket on the back and a padded foam ring at the front. I think that the original leather was supposed to be cone form, and it is now flat. There is a metal reinforcement riveted on the inside of the cone that has also been flattened a bit. The leather moves around and should work, but it will need to be used delicately. This is a rare piece that would make a great form, or can be used carefully!
