This is a set of original WWII issue Army Air Forces Type B-8 flying goggles. These were made by the Rochester Optical Mfg. Goggles are in used very good condition.
Frames are soft and supple. Goggle strap is in very good condition and not stretched out. Center bridge is marked, FLYING GOGGLE, A. Includes the original issue box.
Also includes the instructions for use. The B-8 goggles replaced the AN-6530 goggles. These were lightweight and offered shatterproof lenses and a wide peripheral vision and were favored by Fighter Pilots. The B-8 goggle was a superior design.
These are in ready to use or display condition. Box shows storage wear but in excellent condition. Classic WWII AAF flying goggles.
