US ARMY AIR FORCES PILOT'S TYPE A-11 LEATHER FLYING HELMET X-LARGE VERY RARE. It is an original issue USAAF Type A-11 Intermediate leather flying helmet. Helmet is in very good overall condition.

Leather is soft and supple. Original label indicates this is a size EXREA LARGE - very rare. Chin strap assembly is complete and functional.

The A-11 was a favored flying helmet for Fighter Pilots. This helmet is a fine example of the A-11 Intermediate flying helmet. A must for WWII collectors.
