Original WWII A-2 flight jacket. No manufacture's tag, but I have shown some measurements. The jacket has a "Crown" zipper.
The cuffs are a different color from the waistband, so I do not know if the cuffs where replaced at some point (it would have to have been many years ago, if they where replaced). Looks like there had been a small "L" shape tear that was repaired. It looks like there was a USAAF logo on the shoulder, but it has been worn off.The lining has "Army Air Forces" along with the logo. Overall, the leather is worn, but is not falling apart or dry rotting. I have not tired to clean this jacket, it is as found at a recent estate sale. This jacket came from the estate liquidation of Donald N.
Rickert, who enlisted in May 1943 & retired in the 1960's with the rank of Major in the USAF.
