MINT 1968 CAMILLIUS PRESENTATION PILOT KNIFE GREEN BERET SPECAIL FORCES AIR ASSAULT HELICOPTER. Possibly, ONE OF A KIND/UNIQUE. A great really cool and rare knife from the Vietnam War. This is a rare mint presentation pilot's combat knife from the Vietnam War, made by the American knife maker/military contractor.
Stamped on this bright blade finish this presentation model has the Green Beret/Special Forces crest and SPECIAL FORCES AVN (aviation) on one side. On the reverse side is the United State Army aviation crest. Overall length 9 ½ inches, with a 5 ¼ blade. Stamped on the pommel is.
This knife was made during the Vietnam war in February 1968 and is in mint condition. No loose parts, everything is solid! No rot, stitching 100%, leather is supple and both snaps work fine. (I have not attempted to clean the sheath, that will be up to the new owner).
The sharpening stone is unused. Printed on the stone is. On the stone, the top line is slightly faded, while there seems to be a green stain, possibly a stamp or corrosion from the inside of the brass snap on the stone.
This appears to be a Green Beret helicopter pilot or a helicopter unit for air assault dedicated to Green Beret missions. There is a similar Special Forces presentation pilots knife shown at U. Militaria Forum, Edge Weapons Reference.
