Hamilton GG-W-113 July 1969 US Army US Air Force Vietnam Issue MILITARY Watch -- Functionally, the watch works at times and doesn't work at other times. The watch does indeed wind, but you must apply a slight bit pressure onto the crown of the watch into the watch and then wind it up, in order to properly wind the watch. If too much force is used to pull the crown away from the direction of the watch in order to set the appropriate time, the crown may pull all the way out.

The watch, however, does tick well at times. Perhaps a bit of work needs to be done on the crown insertion area of the watch in order to allow the watch to return to proper, full working order and original condition. Cosmetically, the watch is in rather good condition, especially considering its 1960'S age. I suppose that watch could use a slight cosmetic cleaning.

PLEASE see photos for a more comprehensive understanding of the cosmetic condition of the watch. This particular watch is a rare piece of history, and a must have for the serious collector. I have recently inherited a colossal amount of old, vintage mechanical watches and also many battery operated watches as well, and also quite a few very old vintage pocket watches.
