Army Air Forces Pilot's Type A-11 Leather Flying Helmet-extra Large

  

This is a gem of a find. It is an original 1944 issue USAAF Type A-11 Intermediate leather flying helmet. Helmet is in very good overall condition.

Leather is soft and supple. Original label indicates this is a size extra large. Chin strap assembly is complete and functional.

The A-11 was a favored flying helmet. This helmet is a fine example of the A-11 Intermediate flying helmet. Original extra large A-11 helmets are very hard to find. If there is a problem or concern contact me and I'll make it right.
