Army Air Forces Pilot's Type A-11 Leather Flying Helmet

  

This is a gem of a find. It is an original 1944 issue USAAF Type A-11 Intermediate leather flying helmet. Helmet is in very good overall condition. Leather is soft and supple. Original label indicates this is a size medium.

Chin strap assembly is complete and functional. The A-11 was a favored flying helmet. This helmet is a fine example of the A-11 Intermediate flying helmet.
