Air Service Command: Maintenance Division. Army and Navy Publishing Company Baton Rouge LA. To the soldiers and civilians of the Air Service Command has fallen one of the most difficult assignments in the army air forces.
Our job is to send aircraft and supplies to the army air forces where were they may be and, once there, through maintenance, to keep the American eagle's wings where they belong-in the air. We are doing that job.
We are now an inseparable part of every phase of army air forces operation-doing our part on every front where there are American Airmen. Wherever an American plane flies, we have sent materials to keep flying; the of repaired it when repairs are necessary; we have trained the men in service. Victory in the air war is in large measure to a matter of transporting the hundreds of thousands of spare parts required in modern aircraft two the battle fronts around the world in the proper portion, and using them to keep our Aircraft in fighting trim. It is a job calling for the hardest work, the deepest devotion to duty, unquenchable initiative.Every person connected with the Air Service Command, officers and men, soldiers and civilians, is making, I know, his contribution to this overall objective faithfully and with honor.
