ARMY (AIR FORCE) AVIATION COMPASS. TYPE D-12 MFR'S PART NO. 1801-A-VA MADE BY VICTOR ADDING MACHINE COMPANY. INCLUDES ORIGINAL 8/11/43 INSPECTION TAG MEASURES APPROX 6 1/2 DIAMETER AT THE TOP.

THESE MODELS WERE USED IN BOTH THE B-17 & B-24 AIRPLANES. I THINK THIS THE BEST ONE I SEE LISTED AT THIS TIME DUE TO THE EXCELLENT CONDITION, MADE BY VICTOR ADDING MACHINE COMPANY INSTEAD OF THE MUCH MORE COMMON BENDIX MODELS & THE FACT IT HAS IT'S ORIGINAL 8/11/43 INSPECTION TAG.
