WWII US Army Air Force G-1 gunners helmet, very rare
This is a very rare USAAF gunners helmet, not a flak helmet really but rather a WWII Army Air Force version of the modern day bump helmet, designed to protect the head of the gunners from impacts and lacerations in the confined spaces they often found themselves in, like the tail gunners spot etc. One of the rarest of all US Army Air Force collectibles. I know of only 3 other examples in private collections. A must have for any serious USAAF collector!
