This is a really fantastic and rare B13 Army Air Force flying jacket! It appears to have belonged to someone in the 9th Air Force, who then served in another AAF unit (given the missing patch on the left shoulder). The 9th AF patch is English made, and really beautiful! There appears to have been a former combat aircrew backing above the left breast pocket as well. There is a name inked in the pocket of the jacket, but unfortunately, google hasn't come up with any leads for a pilot with that last name.
Condition wise, the jacket does show four moth bites (all visible in the photos) and the lining in the shoulders and where the body meets the sleeves has come un-stitched. However, that is easily repairable by a competent tailor. Overall, a very nice, and very rare jacket! Should be good for display and further research! Thanks for looking, and good luck!
