Vintage US Army Air Forc USAAF Leather Type B-5 Flying Helmet & A-9. Original, WWII Flyers Helmet/CapTag Brown, Leather with Shearling (sheepskin) full lining. Leather & Shearling are both in decent shape - 4th Photo shows one snap (male) missing over the ear. Tag Reads: "Type B-5" DWG. Served starting in 1939 and became the Commander of 69 Operations Group - Looks like he promoted to Lt.

By December 1940 According to the Air Force Historical Research Agency - Looks like a good research project. And A-9 Olive Drab Cap - Order 42 G 6861. Original Chinstrap & Buckle are intact.
